These sonic essential oils are available for free listening and for sale, with proceeds benefiting our research in electrophysiology and sonic molecular chemistry.
Thank you for your wonderful participation!

The music is produced by the plant itself.

I encoded it in .wav format with a sampling rate of 48Khz at 24 bit and tuned it according to the calculations of the Einstein/Planck equation on the frequency of water at 429.62 Hz. It is 30 minutes long for better immersion with the spirit of the plant.
Enjoy listening!

Ipomoea is a genus of about 500 species of climbing plants, shrubs or trees belonging to the Convolvulaceae family. Some studies (D. Austin, 1997) list between 600 and 700 species, more than half of which are native to North or South America. The genus has proven to be highly polyphyletic.

Psychoactive effects

Ipomoea grandiflora
The seeds of certain species, also known as morning glory, are used by shamans for divinatory rituals under the names ololiuqui (olioliuqui) or tlitliltzin.

Albert Hofmann was the first to announce that these seeds contained a lysergic acid derivative, which was later confirmed by chemical studies. The main psychoactive component is ergine or d-lysergic acid amide, but many other active principles are found, such as isoergine (d-isolysergic acid). These substances are not produced by the plant but by an associated epiphytic fungus, Periglandula ipomoeae.

Other uses
To increase the elasticity of the rubber in their balls, shoes, etc., produced from the sap of Castilla elastica - and not from the rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis) - the Aztecs, Mayans, and Olmecs added the sap of white ipomoea, allowing for a kind of vulcanization before its time.

The sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas) produces a starch-rich root. In Morocco, sweet potato jam is called "crème d'ipomée".
The Morning Glory flower was prized by the ancient Mayan civilization for its "sky blue" color and its abundance of psychedelic tryptamine, lysergic acid amide (LSA).
