The SIMPLE project at the PALP Festival: The great Alpine local market on June 13 and 14, 2026
SIMPLES – What the medicinal plants of the Alps say
Simples offers a sensitive encounter between music, theater, and Alpine botany. Musical performances, immersive installations, and short theatrical pieces are conceived by Johanna Rittiner Sermier, Colin Dayer, Sébastien Rodel, Renaud Ruhlmann, Thomas Laubacher, and Charles Barbier. Thanks to a capture device, the electrical signals of plants are translated into sounds, becoming the starting point for a musical dialogue between species. Rooted in the Alpine terroir, at the crossroads of art, research, and transmission, Simples invites us to look at and listen to nature differently.
